About Hestra
Hestra was founded in 1936 by Martin Magnusson in the small village of Hestra in Smaland, Sweden. What began as a farmhouse workshop making gloves for local lumberjacks is now a third- and fourth-generation family business. In 2021, the company produced over 2 million pairs of gloves and employs about 60 people at its Swedish headquarters.
The brand manufactures over 400 glove styles for sports, fashion, and professional use. Hestra operates its own factories and personally sources all leather, fabric, wool, and materials, maintaining control over the entire production chain. Several models are handmade by experienced European glove makers. The company has subsidiaries in the United States, Norway, and Germany.
Hestra's distinction lies in its 80-plus years of singular focus on gloves, combined with vertically integrated manufacturing and distribution across more than 40 countries worldwide.
