Mercer Amsterdam was founded in 2015 in Amsterdam by a team of Dutch designers who identified a gap between high-fashion footwear and streetwear sneakers. The brand produces sneakers using premium materials — Italian nappa leather, Portuguese suede, and Vibram outsoles — at a price point below the traditional luxury houses. Production takes place in factories in Portugal and Italy, the same facilities used by established European luxury brands.
